Paint it Black

I rarely wear all black. I have even been known to wear color to a funeral. The all-black looks screams a number of things:
I'm feeling down and out, or I don't feel good today.
I can't be bothered to put on any color today.
I am afraid of color.
Black is slimming.
Black is sleek.
Black is scary, and I want to be scary.
I'm emo-goth, and this is my palette.
...and so much more.
Sometimes, on a rare occasion, black is my palette.

From the back you see that I am wearing black pants and a black sweater, but don't you think a pop of color would be nice? Wouldn't a cute accessory liven things up? How about cool socks? What about a hip pair of shoes?
Why...yes, of course, I added all of those things to this black outfit.

Did you really think I would wear all black? Come on! I thought you knew me.

Check out the pop of color on the lip, the leopard print (always finding a way into my wardrobe), the mix of patterns, and the yellow, black, and white triad. Check out my super cool Betsey Johnson skull necklace. It might be hard to see, but it is sparkly, and the eye sockets are heart-shaped.

Oh, and then there's the sock-shoe combo. Striped socks--no matter the color--are always a good choice. These tri-colored shoes, which I will eventually give their own post, always keep me light on my feet.
As you can see, you can wear all black or mostly black, and feel fabulous. Want some more tips on wearing all black? Check out this HuffPost article. Great advice here!
